What you get in your course.

Firstly you do need Tea With Karin cards and/or charms to complete the entire three levels of courses. Beginner course you need a deck of tea cards. Intermediate and advanced course you need tea cards and tea charms. Visit her Etsy store link above to see the large variety of products available.     Karin Dalton-Smith

    Karin is a celebrated author and designer of Tea leaf reading cards for over several years now. Her latest deck of tea leaf reading cards, "sTEAmpunk tea-leaf fortune telling cards" are published by Animal Dreaming Publishing and available through Amazon.com as well as many good book resellers or your local new age store. Growing up in the 60s and 70s, Karin remembers her mother and her friends enjoying morning cups of tea together, giggling while reading the tea leaves left in their cups. Despite there being a few well-known tea leaf readers in Karin’s home state of Tasmania, AUSTRALIA the art was considered something only ‘old ladies’ like mothers and grandmothers practised. It wasn’t something a young girl would normally be interested in, that’s for sure! But, being the youngest of five children, Karin enjoyed more one on one time with her mother than her siblings did due to them being at school, which allowed the ancient art of tea leaf reading to ingrain itself naturally in her consciousness as easily as learning to read and write. Today, Karin lives in Victoria with her husband Linus and her beloved cats, where she has a private tea room dedicated to offering teacup, tea card and charm readings for a wide variety of clients. Tea leaf reading remains Karin’s passion, and as a result, she is a celebrated reader in her own right and is voted as one of Australia's most highly rated readers as per Truelocal.com.au review website.

I have been reading tea cards and tea charms for many years now. Karin, has taught me and been my mentor for many years. Her system is a one of a kind modern day tea reading system. I loved the courses! It was exactly what I needed to learn the basics and fill in all the blanks to be sure I was getting off on the right start. The beginners class was packed with information. I loved this system before the class and THOUGHT I understood how to use it but needed more guidance, a day into the beginner class my jaw dropped when I realized how much deeper it was! Tea leaf reading cards and charms became my favorite system that moment! All the accuracy and down to earth practical advice lenormand offers with the intuitional freedom of depth that tarot offers combined in one! The intermediate class increased my understanding of the 9 box and charms, and allowed me to work out as much information as I could gather in a spread preparing me for even larger spreads to come. To get the most out of larger readings confidence in a 9 box spread is essential as larger spreads not only use the 9 box but because so many cards are used without detailed understanding of the 9 box and each card one can easily miss things in larger readings. The charm class deepened my understanding of casting methods and the symbols themselves and opened a whole new door to not only portable divination but the many layers they can add. I can’t speak highly enough about these classes and Karin’s teachings. She takes care in explaining things and helping with any questions while providing a comfortable platform for learning. At first I thought I can do the beginner work myself and would only need an advanced course. Karin was right, start from the beginning! I’m glad I did as it’s very clear how much can be missed when you don’t. I’ve experienced some of my best readings in over 20 years of divination using Karin’s cards and system. My skills in this system have not only grown and flourished, but skyrocketed through her courses and clients are loving the readings!

I thought I had a pretty good grip on how to read & divine the Tea Cards but I learned so much watching our Master Instructor Karin teach the Beginner course as well as Intermediate & Charm Courses. I've picked up details only Karin can teach! There are points to this Art that only she knows & can reveal. The Beginner Course gives us the meanings of the cards... which is part of the HW offered & goes into little readings to teach us to make Sentences from diverse cards. Intermediate gets us into the 9 Box spread with all it's complexities of Mirroring & Knighting - always using our abilities to make meaning of the cards referenced. The Charms Course uses the 9 card Box Spreads & adds charms for further insight & complexity for the Diviner. I can truly say I've grown as a reader & Diviner... Karin does not use excessive language to make her points... whatever she says has significance for understanding this wonderful world of Tea Cards! I think that is the reason it's important we start with the Beginner's Course even if you've been reading a long time as there are points to be understood only as Karin can reveal them. We are fortunate to be able to go back and review as we feel we need to & to do the HW she offers to 'cement' our skills as we advance through the Courses. Everything is organized to maximize our learning... Karin does not 'hold back' she gives us everything to this Art but in a generous Spirit that is Karin Dalton-Smith!

Her Tea Leaf Cards and Charms are very easy to work with. I have also found Karin and her team to be both responsive and eager to help. They are fantastic! With Karin's courses, it was easy to learn the cards, charms and start reading intuitively. Additionally, learning her system is carrying over to reading Lenormand cards intuitively as well. I have taken the Beginner's Course (cards) and have purchased but not completed the intermediate and advanced courses. I absolutely loved so many things about the beginners course. Firstly, it was at your own pace which proved to be insanely useful to me as I had to take a break from those studies in order to focus on other things. This allowed me to not feel stressed out about completing the course and I could easily review past material as a refresher. Secondly, the new format on the website is very user friendly, easy to use, and very helpful in terms of organization. Thirdly, and most importantly, the FB group where you could dive in deeper in your studies were so wonderful. I could easily ask a question to Karin and her teaching aides and would get a very quick response, see more videos that helped guide my studies, and post spreads that I had questions on. I also thoroughly enjoyed the FB group as it facilitated a learning space with other members of the course so we can see what questions they have and learn from each other too. Overall an amazing course that really was essential to learning the cards. I cannot wait to get started on the next course. THANK YOU!!!

I fell in love with Karin's Cards, they were and are absolutely stunning, so you could imagine my excitement over the Charm's, I had to have them. I had no idea on how to use them let alone shuffle or sprinkle ... an absolute beginner right here. I had never read a card or charm in my life and after taking Karin's beginner course which is recommended for starting off the basic's, I can now pull weekly's and have people ask me questions. In the comfort of my own home, I am able to watch instructional video's, partake in the exercise's and interact with classmates (which is fantastic) and have not only Karin's support but also support from her own personal assistants, Michael, Laura, Andrea and Lyndsey and Wilma​. They truly go above and beyond in helping. I love how they are unique and the style is so easy to learn. Even the bonus certificate you receive on completion! I have been reading many kinds of cards for forty years and two years ago I joined Karin's FB group. I literally took to it like a duck to water. I had a few difficulties at first, but as I participated more I learned and my skills grew rapidly. When I joined the Beginners class I astounded myself with what started coming out of my mouth. I could hardly believe the fantastic answers I was coming up with. It shot me into a whole new level of ability, understanding and confidence in myself. I'd never done this well in group or with any other system. It was a proud day when I received my diploma in the mail! And one of the great things was that people didn't have to be dead serious all the time. We had room for levity, irony and some silliness when the opportunity arose, and the praise we received from Karin and the admins did a lot towards relieving any fears or anxiety we felt and boosted our morale. I can't say enough good things about the class. I'm currently enrolled in the Intermediate and Charm classes and having more fun with the charm casting than I ever thought possible. It's so amazing to step back and look at how proficient I've become in such a short time. If you truly want to read like a pro, this is the place to learn how to do it. You'll never regret it. I took her beginners course where we were taught layering and different types of spreads .This added to my tea leaf aresenal and I was amazed with how deep the meanings can actually go !
